The Bin Beneath My Wings
Australia is celebrated for its diverse abundance of beautiful animals, but there is one that seems to have been left behind. An animal that is so hated by the public that few people even call it by its name.
Ibis (or "bin chickens" as they are sometimes known) are native Australian animals that have become a stape of almost every urban area around the country, digging through bins and intimidating children at every chance they get. In this feature, we find out how they have become so prominent in recent years and investigate why they are so hated.

This is a celebration of "the Australian flamingo" that has been forced out of its natural habitats and into our cities, highlighting the ways in which they benefit the entire ecosystem. There is more to the ibis than meets the eye(bis).
